On April 25, the Dong Nai Provincial Construction Investment Project Management Board said that 16 km of Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway belonging to component project 1 is being accelerated by contractors, constructed urgently, and so far the construction output has reached more than 82%, ensuring technical traffic opening according to the direction of the Provincial People's Committee.
According to reporters of Lao Dong Newspaper, currently on the entire route, there are contractors constructing asphalt concrete paving.
At package No. 18 of component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, the contractor is carrying out the final stages to strive for technical traffic opening before April 30 and completion and commissioning in June 2026.
This bidding package has a contract value of 1,479 billion VND, constructed in the section from Km0+000 to Km6+200. In the contractor consortium, Trungnam E&C plays a key role in many important construction fronts, including roadbed, weak soil treatment, asphalt concrete paving, culvert systems and cross-passes, with the consistent requirement of ensuring progress, quality and safety.
To date, package No. 18 has reached more than 70% of the volume, of which the main route has reached more than 80%.
The Project Management Board is urgently completing the final traffic items such as installing guardrails, medians, anti-glare nets, painting road markings, traffic safety systems, making roadside concrete and related auxiliary items, with the goal of completing the main tasks to technically open traffic before April 30, in accordance with commitments to Dong Nai province.
Previously, on April 9, Chairman of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Van Ut inspected the actual construction progress at component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway and set a target to complete the opening of the component project 1 of the Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway by the end of April 2026.

According to the plan, before April 30, 2026, the main section of component project 2, Bien Hoa - Vung Tau expressway, more than 18 km long from Long Thanh intersection to the end point of the project connecting to component project 3 in Ho Chi Minh City will be put into temporary operation and agreed in the initial phase to only allow cars with fewer than 9 seats to circulate.
