On the afternoon of January 6, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc chaired a meeting to listen to a report on preparations for organizing activities to welcome the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
At the meeting, leaders of the Department of Culture and Sports approved a quick report on the preparation for organizing the planned activities of the art program - fireworks display to welcome the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026, commemorating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2026) and welcoming the success of the 14th National Party Congress in Rach Gia ward (Phu Cuong Phu Quy urban area) and Long Xuyen ward (Trung Nu Vuong Square) on the evening of February 16, 2026 (the 29th day of Tet).
In Rach Gia ward, the provincial administrative center will have miniature decoration activities to serve people to celebrate spring and welcome Tet; organize sports tournaments, spring flower markets; OCOP Product Fair to celebrate Spring 2026; art program "Celebrating the Party, Celebrating Binh Ngo Spring 2026 with the theme Spring Returns to Phu Quy"; water music performance; folk cultural experience activities on boats in Phu Cuong Phu Quy Urban Area...
In Chau Doc ward and Phu Quoc special zone, a special art program to celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Party and fireworks to welcome Binh Ngo Spring 2026 will be held on New Year's Eve on the 29th of Tet; cultural, artistic and sports activities to serve people to celebrate Spring and welcome Tet.
The remaining communes, wards, and special zones simultaneously develop plans and deploy the organization of cultural, artistic, and sports activities to celebrate the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and the success of the 14th National Party Congress in the area. The time of activities starts from January 14, 2026 to February 23, 2026.
Speaking to direct at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc basically agreed on the contents and programs. At the same time, he highly appreciated the involvement of departments, branches, localities and Phu Cuong Kien Giang Investment Joint Stock Company in deploying the development of activities and plans to prepare for the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.
Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc emphasized that the art program of fireworks display to welcome the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo 2026 is a particularly important political and cultural event, serving the spiritual life of the People in the sacred moment of the New Year's transition, contributing to widely propagating the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam and celebrating the success of the 14th National Party Congress. Therefore, after this meeting, the Subcommittees assigned tasks to develop detailed plans for urgent implementation.
