On August 28, in Kampong Speu province, Kingdom of Cambodia, the Specialized Committee of An Giang province and the Specialized Committee of Kampong Speu province organized a signing ceremony to cooperate in searching, collecting, and repatriating the remains of Vietnamese volunteer soldiers and experts who sacrificed in the wars in Cambodia, phase XXVI, dry season 2026-2027.
Kampong Speu is the area where Team K93 achieved many results in the search and repatriation of martyrs' remains. Since the implementation of the Agreement between the Government of Vietnam and the Royal Government of Cambodia signed on August 28, 2000, Team K93 has searched and repatriated 1,388 martyrs' remains in Kampong Speu province. In the dry season of 2025-2026 alone, the unit searched and repatriated 81 martyrs' remains.
To achieve the above results, the government, the Specialized Committee, the armed forces and the people of Kampong Speu province have actively coordinated to collect, provide information, guide, protect and support officers and soldiers of Team K93 in the process of surveying and searching in many areas.

Entering the 2026-2027 dry season, search work is forecast to continue to face many difficulties because time has receded, terrain and artifacts in many areas have changed. An Giang province hopes Kampong Speu will continue to coordinate in collecting and verifying information, supporting guidance and creating favorable conditions for Team K93, Political Department, Provincial Military Command of An Giang to access areas with information, organize searches and gatherings to achieve the highest results.
In the spirit of solidarity, friendship and responsibility, the Specialized Committees of the two provinces signed a cooperation agreement to search, repatriate, and repatriate martyrs' remains in the period XXVI, dry season 2026-2027, and continue to maintain a close coordination mechanism between forces in the process of performing tasks.
