On the afternoon of September 30, a representative of the People's Committee of Nong Cong commune, Thanh Hoa province, said that the flood after storm No. 10 caused many villages in the area to be heavily flooded and caused a boat capsize that left 2 people missing.
According to initial information, at around 6:00 p.m. on September 29, three people in a family in Tru village, Nong Cong commune, used a boat to move through floodwaters. Due to the strong current, the boat capsized, leaving an old woman and a nephew over 20 years old missing. The woman accompanying her was lucky to cling to the branch and escape.
Immediately after receiving the report, the authorities of Nong Cong commune organized a search all night. By the morning of September 30, the grandmother's body had been found, while the grandchild was still missing.
Currently, the search for the remaining victim is still being urgently deployed.
