Vice Chairman of Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee Le Xuan Loi has just signed a decision approving the emergency construction project of Cam Bao pumping station at position K20+300 left Cau dike (Xuan Cam commune) to ensure dike safety and improve drainage capacity, serving agricultural production in the area.
According to the decision, the project's objective is to urgently handle dyke incidents, protect people's lives and property; and at the same time ensure drainage for about 1,100 hectares and irrigation for about 2,050 hectares of agricultural land, contributing to improving disaster prevention and control capacity, and responding to extreme weather events.
The project is invested by Nam Song Thuong Irrigation Works Exploitation One Member Limited Liability Company, belonging to group B projects, agricultural and rural development works level III.
The project includes main items such as: Building a drainage pumping station with a capacity of 16.67 m3/s and an irrigation pumping station with a capacity of 4.17 m3/s; building station buildings, management houses, pumping tanks, discharge tanks, discharge culverts through dikes, electrical systems and operating equipment; and at the same time renovating and upgrading the irrigation and drainage canal system and related auxiliary works.
In addition, the project also implements solutions to treat the foundation, waterproof the dyke body, reinforce the dyke slope, expand the dyke surface combined with traffic and complete the technical infrastructure of the area, contributing to strengthening flood resistance and ensuring long-term safety for the left Cau dyke line.
The total investment of the project is about 450 billion VND from the provincial budget. The project is expected to be completed on June 30, 2027.
Bac Ninh Provincial People's Committee requests the investor and related units to implement the project in accordance with regulations, ensuring progress, quality, efficiency and economy, contributing to stabilizing agricultural production and people's lives in the area.
