The projects located in the premises have an area of about 15,200m2, the main investment and construction items include 2 5-storey houses, a total construction area of about 2,674m2, a total floor area of about 13,370m2, corresponding to 312 rooms, meeting the housing needs of about 1,488 people (192 rooms for 04 people/room; 120 rooms for 6 people/room) and auxiliary works outside the house.
The occupancy rate of rooms has reached about 75%. Currently, these housing projects show signs of deterioration, the door system is warped, the walls and ceilings are leaking, peeling, the floor tiles are inflated, the elevator system is not working.
Implementing Resolution No. 60-NQ/TW dated April 12, 2025 of the 11th Conference of the 13th Party Central Committee, Bac Ninh province surveyed the needs of cadres and civil servants in the area for public housing; The results showed that about 291 people had needs, specifically as follows:

However, these public housing units are all located in the school grounds in the same remote area, making it difficult to arrange for civil servants from Bac Ninh province (before the merger) to work and work at the new administrative center in Bac Ninh province.
To ensure working conditions for cadres, civil servants and public employees during their tenure and work according to regulations; The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee proposed that the Standing Committee of the Party Committee and the Standing Committee of the Provincial People's Committee agree in principle to survey, renovate and repair a 5-storey building and auxiliary works in the campus of the Bac Giang City Student Housing Area to partly solve the immediate housing rental needs of cadres and civil servants.
Specifically as follows: Calculate the total investment in renovation and repair of about: 16.2 billion VND.
