Handover of a rare culi individual to Vu Quang National Park

    Ha Tinh - Functional forces have just received and handed over a rare cu li to Vu Quang National Park for release back into nature.

    On January 3rd, Son Giang Commune Police received a small crab, weighing about 300 grams, voluntarily handed over by Mr. Tran Manh Thang (born in 1974, residing in Tan Thuy village, Son Giang commune).

    Previously, in the afternoon of January 2nd, Mr. Thang caught this lily in the acacia garden area of his family.

    Through verification, this is a small cu li (scientific name Nycticebus pygmaeus Bonhote), belonging to Group IB, a group of endangered and rare forest animals that are prioritized for protection according to the provisions of law.

    Immediately after receiving it, Son Giang Commune Police coordinated with Huong Son Forest Protection Department to hand over the culi to Vu Quang National Park for care, rescue and re-release to the natural environment according to regulations.
