Hanoi – Hanoi City Police will deploy more than 30 checkpoints to ensure security and order during the Countdown event to welcome the new year 2025.

To ensure safety and security at the Countdown program welcoming the new year 2025 taking place at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square and the August Revolution Square area, Hoan Kiem District Police have developed a plan to prevent stampedes, fires and explosions, and to prevent acts of harassment that violate public morals.

Hoan Kiem District Police direct traffic flow from a distance and arrange parking lots to serve the people. Some streets around Hoan Kiem Lake will have traffic restricted to create priority lanes for fire trucks and ambulances to promptly respond and handle possible situations.

Arrange plainclothes police to patrol and control around the event area to prevent and stop illegal acts such as theft, pickpocketing, etc.

Hoan Kiem District Police also advised people participating in the event to follow the instructions of the functional forces on duty on the road. When present at Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, people should not bring bottles, firecrackers, flammable objects, etc.
