An Nghiep Industrial Park (Soc Trang province) has a total area of 180 hectares, with 49 enterprises and 64 projects. The provincial industrial park trade union currently has 31 affiliated grassroots trade unions with 22,996 union members/24,531 workers and laborers.
According to Soc Trang Provincial Police, recently, the security and order situation in An Nghiep Industrial Park has been quite complicated. Since the beginning of 2024, there have been 8 cases of public disorder, 2 cases of intentional damage to property, 1 work accident that killed 1 person, 5 traffic accidents, 1 case of comments on social networks that affected organizations and individuals. In addition, the situation of buying and selling encroaching on the roadway, sidewalks, vehicles transporting goods parked in the wrong places... still occurs, affecting public order, urban order, traffic safety and urban beauty.
Faced with that situation, the Order Police Team, the Department of Administrative Management of Social Order of the Soc Trang Provincial Police proactively advised the Party Committee and leaders of the unit to strengthen patrolling and controlling, promptly detect and strictly handle violations, ensure security and order, contributing to ensuring safety for the labor, production and business process. Thereby, 108 patrols and controls were organized; 2 cases of causing disorder were mediated; 230 cases of buying and selling encroaching on the roadway and sidewalk were reminded; 38 subjects were dispersed, exposed at night, and had suspicious signs of causing disorder; 5 cases were fined; propaganda was organized, and leaflets were distributed about security, order, and traffic safety to workers and laborers...
Mr. Phan Tan Phong - Chairman of the Trade Union of Industrial Zones of Soc Trang province - said that he has directed the grassroots Trade Unions to send Trade Union officials to participate in the key Trade Union cadre group and create an internal Zalo network group to quickly, concisely and effectively convey the orientations of the Trade Union organization; promptly grasp the ideological situation and aspirations of union members and workers. Thereby, resolving and reporting to the higher-level Trade Union and relevant agencies to have solutions so that workers can feel secure in production and stabilize the production situation of the enterprise.
Mr. Phong also said that in the coming time, he will continue to seek support and create favorable conditions for employers to organize propaganda and disseminate the Party's guidelines and policies, the State's laws and policies on the movement of the People to protect national security; crime prevention and control, and prevention of activities that disrupt security and order. Regularly closely grasp the thoughts and aspirations of union members and workers to choose appropriate propaganda content and methods to bring about practical results.
