Attending the ceremony to celebrate the 20th anniversary of Tien Phong electronic newspaper and receiving the Certificate of Merit from the Prime Minister, there were members of the Party Central Committee: Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon; Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Editor-in-Chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, President of the Vietnam Journalists Association Le Quoc Minh. Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy.
At the ceremony, Chief of the Central Office of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Nguyen Quoc Huy announced Decision No. 37/QD-TTg of the Prime Minister on awarding the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Tien Phong Electronic Newspaper.
Authorized by the Prime Minister, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department Lai Xuan Mon awarded the Prime Minister's Certificate of Merit to Tien Phong Electronic Newspaper for its outstanding achievements in propaganda and education for children and youth, building and protecting the Party's ideological foundation, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security.
On this occasion, Tien Phong Electronic Newspaper also received Certificates of Merit from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Ministry of Education and Training; State Bank of Vietnam.
Speaking at the ceremony, First Secretary of the Central Executive Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union Bui Quang Huy emphasized: During the 20-year journey of construction and development, Tien Phong Newspaper in general and Tien Phong Electronic Newspaper in particular have always been at the forefront in encouraging and motivating people, especially the young generation, to promote patriotism, determination, solidarity, overcome all difficulties and challenges, be proactive, volunteer, and creative in all fields, contributing with the entire Party, the entire army, and the entire people to build and defend the Fatherland in the new period.
Tien Phong e-newspaper has fulfilled its role well as the mouthpiece of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and a forum for the youth. The newspaper has published many good and quality news and articles reflecting the thoughts, aspirations and viewpoints of union members, youth and the Youth Union organization; sharing good models and effective ways of doing things in the work of the Youth Union and the youth movement nationwide; discovering and encouraging advanced models and exemplary youth in all fields.
