Sending a question to Vietnam Social Insurance, reader N.H.M said: "My wife and I have paid voluntary social insurance since December 2024. Now I want to pay more voluntary social insurance for my mother, so where do I need to pay the money, what documents do I need to pay under the household registration form? ".
Regarding this issue, Vietnam Social Security responds as follows:
To participate in voluntary social insurance for relatives, Ms. H can contact the nearest social insurance agency or social insurance and health insurance collection service organization for instructions on implementation according to regulations.
If the participant already has a social insurance code, her family only needs to provide the social insurance code to the social insurance agency or the Social Insurance and Health Insurance collection service organization.
If the participant does not have a social insurance code, the participants' documents need to be prepared, including: Declaration of participation, adjustment of social insurance and health insurance information according to form TK1-TS issued with Decision No. 490/QD-BHXH dated March 28, 2023 of Vietnam Social Insurance; Citizen identification card ( harden card or electronic card) used to present registration information comparison.
Regarding the procedure for registering to participate in voluntary social insurance, participants must prepare a declaration form according to the prescribed form (Form TK1-TS) and submit it to the Social Insurance agency or the Social Insurance and Health Insurance collection service organizations or register at the National Public Service Portal or the Public Service Portal of Vietnam Social Insurance.
