Vietnam Social Security successfully authenticates more than 100.2 million citizen information

As of April 5, 2025, the Vietnam Social Security system has successfully authenticated more than 100.2 million citizen information.

Vietnam Social Security (VSS) said that the implementation of the Government's Project 06 on developing the application of population data, identification and electronic authentication to serve national digital transformation in the period of 2022 - 2025, with a vision to 2030, is continuing to achieve many positive results.

According to the report of Vietnam Social Insurance, by April 2025, Vietnam Social Insurance has connected and shared data between the National Database on Insurance and the National Population Database.

As of April 5, 2025, the Vietnam Social Insurance system has successfully authenticated more than 100.2 million citizen information, of which about 90.5 million people are participating and receiving social insurance, health insurance, unemployment insurance, accounting for 98.8% of the total number of participants (excluding armed forces and military relatives) with the National Population Database.

In the field of health insurance examination and treatment (HI), 100% of health insurance treatment facilities have implemented health insurance examination and treatment using a chip-embedded Citizen Identification Card (CCCD) (meeting the requirement of looking up health insurance card information using a personal identification number/CCCD).

As of April 15, 2025, there have been more than 207 million searches for health insurance card information using personal identification numbers/CCCDs successfully serving health insurance medical examination and treatment procedures.

Vietnam Social Insurance is also active in integrating and providing online public services (DVC). Notably, the following units: Deploy the connection to register birth - register permanent residence - issue health insurance cards for children under 6 years old; Connecting death registration - Remove permanent residence registration - Resolve funeral and death fees.

As of April 15, 2025, the whole industry has processed 1,696,378 records related to these procedures. Coordinate the implementation of DVC Solving unemployment benefits on the National DVC Portal from April 12, 2022. The Vietnam Social Insurance system has received and paid unemployment insurance to 787,863 cases as of April 15, 2025.

Vietnam Social Insurance issued a list of 70 online DVCs throughout the process under its authority and provided 100% on the Vietnam Social Insurance DVC Portal and integrated on the National DVC Portal, exceeding 20% of the target in Directive No. 04/CT-TTg.

Regarding the promotion of payment of non-cash insurance regimes, in the payment period of April 2025, there were 79.8% of the total number of people receiving monthly pensions and social insurance benefits through personal accounts nationwide. In urban areas alone, this rate is about 80%, exceeding the Prime Minister's target by 20%.

In integrating information and deploying the VNeID application, Vietnam Social Security has successfully coordinated to provide social insurance book information to the VNeID application, with more than 38.8 million successful queries to date. The VssID application has also been upgraded to integrate VNeID accounts, with more than 21.3 million users to log in to date.
