On June 18, Hung Yen Provincial People's Committee held the 8th Nguyen Van Linh Press Award Ceremony in 2026 to honor outstanding journalistic works written about the homeland, people and outstanding achievements of Hung Yen province.
Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Hoang Minh Son - Director of Hung Yen Newspaper and Radio and Television, Chairman of Hung Yen Provincial Journalists Association - said that during his lifetime, late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh always paid special attention to revolutionary journalism. The spirit of innovation, "speaking frankly, speaking truthfully, for the benefit of the People" initiated by the late General Secretary continues to be a source of inspiration for generations of journalists to strive to contribute.
The 8th Nguyen Van Linh Press Award in 2026 attracted the participation of press agencies and journalists inside and outside the province. The Organizing Committee received 127 works of print newspapers, electronic newspapers, radio and television, comprehensively reflecting socio-economic development achievements, Party building work, digital transformation, administrative reform and people's livelihood issues of the province.
Through preliminary and final judging, the Judging Council selected 46 excellent works to award prizes, including 5 A Prizes, 9 B Prizes, 14 C Prizes and 18 Consolation Prizes.

Among the awarded works, Lao Dong Newspaper won the C Prize with the work "Preserving the close image of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh" published on Lao Dong electronic newspaper.
The work records the memories and feelings of the people of Hung Yen homeland towards the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh through the stories of people who have met, worked and been attached to him.
Through this, the image of a leader who is close to the people, simple, and always cares about the people's lives is realistically portrayed, contributing to spreading good values and traditional education to today's generations.
Not only contributing to clarifying the values and noble qualities of the late General Secretary Nguyen Van Linh, the work also carries traditional educational significance, arousing pride in the outstanding son of Hung Yen homeland.
The award is a recognition of the efforts of the team of Lao Dong Newspaper reporters in implementing journalistic works with depth and rich human values, contributing to spreading good examples and values to readers.
