On the evening of June 12, Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Truong Khoi, Head of the La Lay International Border Gate Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that a landslide had collapsed a house and swept away a car.
The incident occurred at around 6:00 p.m. on June 12 at Km 157+300 Ho Chi Minh road in Cu Tai 2 village (A Bung commune, Dakrong district, Quang Tri province).
Due to the impact of storm No. 1, a landslide occurred, causing the house of Mr. Vo Van Cuong (born in 1973, residing in Cu Tai 2 village) to sink towards the stream, the entire corrugated iron roof collapsed.
Observation shows that Mr. Cuong's newly built house has a embankment built close to the stream bank, due to strong water flow, the embankment was washed away, leading to the collapse of the rear wall.
At the time of the incident, 2 cars parked at Mr. Cuong's house were swept into the stream, the authorities and local people rescued the truck and the 4-seat car that were swept away and stuck at the A Rong Un spillway, the section bordering A Ngo commune and La Hot village, A Bung commune.

The La Lay International Border Guard Station has dispatched 10 officers and soldiers to be present in time, coordinating with other forces to support the protection of property and bring items to safety.
In addition, it has coordinated with the local government of A Bung commune to mobilize the relocation of households in the surrounding area to take shelter at the headquarters of the People's Committee of A Bung commune to ensure safety and stability of the situation.
