On the morning of June 12, the impact of storm No. 1 caused heavy rain in Quang Tri province.
In the mountainous district of Dakrong, heavy rain caused many roads and spillways to be deeply flooded, with water levels rising 1.5 meters in some places.
Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Truong Khoi - Head of the La Lay International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that in the area managed by the unit, by 9:00 a.m. on June 12, 4 locations were flooded from 0.5 to 1.5 meters, causing isolation.
Water rose, flooding the spillway in La Hot village (A Bung commune), the spillway in A Dang village, the spillway in A Rong Duoi village (A Ngo commune) and the spillway connecting Ta rot commune with A Ngo village (A Ngo commune) of Dakrong district, Quang Tri province.

To ensure the safety of the people, the La Lay International Border Guard Station has coordinated with local authorities to put up warning signs and blockade points at vulnerable locations to prevent people from passing.
"The road to the border gate was cut off, the forces deployed checkpoints to prevent people and vehicles from passing through the flooded area" - Lieutenant Colonel Ngo Truong Khoi informed.
According to Ba Nang Border Guard Station (Dakrong District), heavy rain also caused flooding in some spillways in the area, causing isolation. Ba Nang Border Guard Station has set up checkpoints, not allowing people to pass to ensure safety.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Tri province said that due to the impact of storm No. 1, heavy rain has occurred in Quang Tri. It is forecasted that in the two days of June 12-13, there will continue to be moderate to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally from 80180mm, in some places over 250mm. During thunderstorms, there is a risk of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
