On the morning of September 29, the Department of Natural Resources and Environment of Lao Cai province informed that due to the influence of the circulation of storm No. 10 combined with the high-altitude wind convergence zone, areas in the area will have heavy to very heavy rain and thunderstorms.
As a result, 2 people in Thuong Ha commune were injured; 249 houses had their roofs blown off, and 188.7 hectares of agricultural land were damaged.
Regarding traffic, Provincial Road 162 (Quy Xa road to Van Ban commune) had a landslide volume of up to 30,000 m3. The initial damage is estimated at about 5 billion VND.

Immediately after the natural disaster occurred, functional forces were present at the scene in time to command and encourage people to help overcome the damage.
For landslides, management units have organized the first step of repairing them to ensure traffic for vehicles and people.
It is forecasted that in the next 3-6 hours, the above Lao Cai provinces will continue to have moderate rain, heavy rain to very heavy rain, rainfall from 100 - 150mm, some places with localized heavy rain of 300mm.
