On July 22, storm No. 3 made landfall, causing widespread heavy rain, with common rainfall from 100200mm, many places over 300mm. Heavy rain combined with high tides caused thousands of hectares of rice fields, crops and aquaculture areas in coastal communes of Hung Yen province to be severely flooded, many areas facing the risk of losing everything.
Localities have implemented the "4 on-site" motto, maintaining 24/7 duty to monitor water levels, and operating drainage when the tide recedes. The authorities urgently cleared the flow, cleared the congestion of the irrigation system, proactively drained rice, crops and low-lying areas to protect production and stabilize people's lives.

In Dong Thuy Anh commune, according to a quick report at 3:00 p.m. on July 22, no damage to people or houses was recorded, but agricultural production was severely affected. Specifically, 50 hectares out of a total of 425.2 hectares of aquaculture were flooded, of which about 20 hectares located near the Hoa River were completely lost.
The flooded rice area is 572ha/1,244.4ha (accounting for 46%). The area of flooded crops is 34ha 50ha (equivalent to 67.3%). The N2 riverbank road was eroded about 300m; many other sections were flooded, water overflowed the road surface. Infrastructure damage is being further reviewed and counted.
In Vu Thu commune, the storm caused heavy rain, causing more than 900 hectares of a total of more than 1,200 hectares of rice fields to be deeply flooded. About 130ha/195ha of crops were flooded and crushed. Nearly 80 broken industrial and fruit trees have been cleared to ensure traffic. Some inner-city roads and alleys were flooded; 30 advertising signs and agency name plates were broken and collapsed.
Currently, communes continue to mobilize forces to overcome the consequences, count damage and implement solutions to support production and stabilize people's lives after the storm.
