Quang Tri - The fishing boat was anchored at the wharf when storm No. 5 caused strong winds to break the anchor, and the forces coordinated to successfully rescue.

On the morning of August 25, Cua Tung Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that it had requested the owner of a fishing boat with a broken anchor at night to be ready to move to the fishing port when ensuring safety.

Previously, at 0:10 on August 24, the fishing boat with registration number QNg - 95181, registered by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Van (residing in Quang Ngai) at Cua Tung control station (Quang Tri province), had 6 crew members on board.

To avoid the impact of storm No. 5, the border control station instructed ships to move to anchor for the storm at Cua Tung fishing port.

However, at 9:00 p.m. the same day, due to the impact of the storm and strong winds, the ship broke anchor and drifted towards the wharf gate. The captain contacted the control station, Cua Tung Border Guard Station immediately sent forces to coordinate towing the ship to anchor at port No. 1 at 10:10 p.m. the same day.

Head of Cua Tung Border Guard Station Tran Tuan Dung said that the location of the fishing boat anchored was unsafe when storm No. 5 affected it. However, the water level and weather are not guaranteed, so fishing vessels cannot move into the fishing port.

"We have sent forces to coordinate with the ship owner to monitor the water level and weather, as soon as the water level is stable, the ship will immediately move into the wharf to avoid the storm" - Mr. Tran Tuan Dung informed.
