Nghe An - Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directly inspected and directed the response to storm No. 5 in the coastal area of Nghe An.

On the evening of August 24, after a meeting with localities, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh directly inspected and directed the response to storm No. 5 at Cua Lo port and Nghi Quang storm anchorage and shelter area.

Accompanying him were members of the Party Central Committee: Tran Duc Thang - Acting Minister of Agriculture and Environment, Senior Lieutenant General Nguyen Van Hien - Deputy Minister of National Defense, members of the Government working delegation; Lieutenant General Ha Tho Binh - Commander of Military Region 4, Major General Doan Xuan Bung - Party Committee Secretary, Political Commissar of Military Region 4. The leaders of Nghe An province include Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duc Trung and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Le Hong Vinh.

In the face of the strong intensity and complicated developments of storm No. 5, the Prime Minister decided to establish a Forward Command Department at the Military Region 4 Command.

Immediately after the urgent meeting here, the Prime Minister inspected the Cua Lo port and Nghi Quang anchorage area. At the scene, the Prime Minister requested that all people on boats and aquaculture cages be evacuated to safe places, and those who did not comply must be enforced to ensure their lives.

The Prime Minister emphasized the need to preserve assets, not let ships collide, burn, and absolutely not let ships go to sea. At the same time, he requested the military to be ready to be on duty and support localities when necessary according to the "4 on-site" motto, determined not to let negligence and subjectivity occur.
