The Provincial People's Committee directs inspection and review of high-risk areas, especially riverside, mountainous areas, low-lying residential areas; preparing plans to evacuate people and property to safe places. Military forces, police, and border guards are required to be on duty 100% of the time, ready to mobilize for rescue and relief in case of emergency situations.
In addition, the telegram requires ensuring the safety of dams, traffic, power grids, and infrastructure; at the same time, implementing measures to protect production, especially crops and livestock. Local activities to celebrate National Day on September 2 must also have a plan to ensure absolute safety.
Previously, storm No. 5 affected Quang Tri province, causing heavy rain, causing 4 houses to have their roofs blown off, 1 temporary house to collapse, more than 2,100 hectares of rice and 38.1 hectares of crops to fall, fall, and be flooded; 75 hectares of aquaculture to be damaged, 26 fish cages to be swept away. Many traffic routes, canals, riverbank protection embankments, and small irrigation works were eroded and damaged... The total estimated damage value is about 358 billion VND.
