Quang Ngai - Storm No. 13 passed, leaving behind a scene of devastation. But amid the chaos, humanity is still bright as officers, soldiers... are determined to help people rebuild their lives.

After storm No. 13 swept through, Sa Huynh ward, Quang Ngai province had no human casualties, but more than 200 houses were flooded due to high tides, more than 30 houses had their roofs blown off. Immediately after the storm, the work to overcome the consequences was urgently and smoothly deployed between the government and the people.

On November 7, in the coastal area of Chau Me residential group - one of the most severely affected areas, more than 70 officers and soldiers of the Provincial 5 Defense Command were mobilized to support the people. Each group of soldiers and people cleaned up mud and soil, leveled sand and covered the road, helped clear the paths and repair damaged houses.

Mr. Le Mai Binh - Secretary of the Ly Son Special Forces Youth Union - said: "All young people work their best, hoping that people will soon stabilize their lives and the environment will be clean and beautiful".

"I have lost a lot, but seeing soldiers and commune officials come to help makes me feel warmer and less worried," he said.
