The Ho Chi Minh road project, Cho Chu - Trung Son intersection connecting Thai Nguyen and Tuyen Quang, started construction in June 2024.
The route is nearly 29km long. Starting point at Cho Chu (Dinh Hoa district, Thai Nguyen) ending point at Trung Son intersection (intersection with National Highway.2C, Yen Son district, Tuyen Quang).
The project is built according to technical standards for a grade III mountainous road, with a design speed of 60km/h and a scale of 2 lanes. The roadbed is 9 meters wide, the section through Trung Son is 14 meters wide.

In Tuyen Quang, the route passes through Trung Son and Hung Loi communes (Yen Son district) with a length of nearly 17km.
According to the reporter's records at the end of the project in Trung Son commune, Hung Loi, after nearly 1 year of construction, the Ho Chi Minh road construction site is gradually taking shape.
At the construction site, workers and machinery are mobilized to implement the project. The road passes through many mountainous terrains, workers have to level and create a flat surface. A large amount of rock and soil is level, moving from a high location to a low-lying location.
In addition to creating roadbeds, contractors also synchronously deploy sewers, underpasses, and move power poles to clear the ground. At the same time, resettlement arrangements were arranged for people.
It is known that the total cost of implementing the compensation, support and resettlement sub-project is over 161 billion VND. The area of the reclaimed area is about 67 hectares, with 77 households in the two communes subject to relocation.

According to Mr. Dinh Van Tinh - Vice Chairman of Yen Son District People's Committee, in order to hand over the site soon, the District People's Committee has directed specialized departments and offices to strengthen coordination with localities to speed up site clearance and land handover for construction of project items.
In particular, developing a plan to implement resettlement areas. The People's Committee of Yen Son district has developed a detailed resettlement plan for affected households within the scope. Carry out steps according to investment procedures, striving to hand over the site to households soon.
The investment in the construction of the Ho Chi Minh road, Cho Chu - Trung Son intersection, aims to gradually complete the Ho Chi Minh road. Create momentum to connect the three provinces of Thai Nguyen - Bac Kan - Tuyen Quang.
At the same time, it will strengthen connectivity to meet the transportation needs of the midlands and mountainous areas of the North, promote socio-economic development, and ensure national defense and security.
