On March 12, information from Naval Region 2 said that after 15 days of performing the task, the early election team of the unit brought ballot boxes and ballots to more than 600 voters who are officers and soldiers on 15 DK1 platforms, on-duty ships and fishermen fishing in the DK1 sea area; ensuring compliance with the principles, regulations, and procedures of the Law on Election of National Assembly Deputies and People's Council Deputies, and returning to the mainland safely according to the plan.

The working delegation performed duties on 2 ships Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 of Naval Flotilla 1, Brigade 125, Naval Region 2. Throughout the journey, the delegation traveled thousands of nautical miles in unfavorable weather conditions, with strong waves and winds.
However, with a high sense of responsibility, officers and soldiers on the two ships and members of the Election Team made efforts to overcome difficulties to bring the ballots to voters' hands, ensuring that all Vietnamese citizens working on the southern continental shelf of the Fatherland could exercise their voting rights.

At the polling stations at sea, the Election Team proactively deployed many flexible plans, suitable to the actual conditions, ensuring that the election took place in accordance with regulations, without affecting the tasks of officers and soldiers working on rigs, on-duty ships as well as fishermen's seafood exploitation activities.
For on-duty ships, when the weather is favorable, the Election Team uses a boat to transport voters from the ships to the Truong Sa 04 and Truong Sa 21 ships to conduct voting. In case of strong storms causing difficulties in movement, the Election Team will bring ballot boxes, voter cards, ballots and candidate lists to each ship to organize elections.

For DK1 rigs, the Election Team continuously monitors weather developments, choosing the appropriate time to bring people and materials to the rig, whether it is early morning or midday with harsh sunshine. Items serving the election such as makets, signs, ballot boxes, ballots, voter cards, biographies and action programs of candidates are all wrapped tightly against water, transported carefully to ensure safety.

Unlike the bustling atmosphere on land, the election in the open sea took place in much more difficult conditions. However, each voter cherished the voter card and respected the feelings of the Party, State and Army when the ballots were brought to the forefront of the waves. After being stamped "Voted", many voters expressed their pride in being able to exercise their citizenship even in the middle of the distant sea.

Colonel Le Hong Quang - Deputy Head of the Political Department of Naval Region 2, Head of the Early Election Team - said that 100% of voters at sea were excited, raised their sense of responsibility, carefully studied the list of candidates and conducted elections in accordance with regulations. Among them, there are 27 voters who are fishermen on 4 fishing boats (QNg96435TS, QNg92654TS, TG92625TS and NTh02279TS) fishing at sea, after being propagated, they proactively contacted to participate in the early election.
