Bird trapping on Bao Loc Pass, man electrocuted to death

Lam Dong - A man trapping birds on Bao Loc Pass unfortunately let a metal pole get caught in a medium-voltage power line and was electrocuted to death.

On the afternoon of May 19, leaders of Da Huoai 2 Commune People's Committee (Lam Dong) said that a case had just occurred in the area where a man was electrocuted to death while trapping birds in the Bao Loc pass area.

According to initial information, in the morning of the same day, some people picking bamboo shoots on Bao Loc pass discovered the body of a man lying under a power line and reported it to functional agencies.

Immediately after receiving the report, Da Huoai 2 Commune Police were present at the scene to investigate and verify the incident.

Through verification, the victim was identified as Nguyen Hoang Tuan (41 years old, residing in Phu Lam commune, Dong Nai city).

At the scene, functional forces recorded a bird trap cage along with tools for trapping birds and motorbikes.

Among them was a long metal pole used to hang and remove bird cages that were entangled in medium-voltage power lines.

Initial assessment by functional agencies, the victim died from electric shock while trapping birds.

According to the victim's family, Mr. Tuan left home on the morning of May 18 to go bird trapping until the family received a report of the incident.

After completing the scene examination, functional agencies handed over the victim's body to the family for funeral arrangements.
