On the evening of October 18, Mr. Bui Nhu Thinh - Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Lam commune (Di Linh district, Lam Dong) confirmed that the locality had announced to find relatives of an abandoned baby boy in the area.
Earlier, at around 5:30 p.m. the same day, a resident of Tan Lam commune discovered a newborn baby wrapped in a velvet blanket along with many scarves, woolen hats, and clothes in a coffee garden.
The area where the child was found is next to Buu Hoa Son Pagoda in Village 3 (Tan Lam Commune). Afterwards, the people reported the incident to the local authorities and the Tan Lam Commune authorities.
Through examination, the newborn baby was a boy with the umbilical cord still intact, normal health, rosy skin, and cute.
Immediately afterwards, the baby was taken to Tan Lam Commune Health Station for doctors to check his health, cut the umbilical cord and take care of him.
Mr. Bui Nhu Thinh - Chairman of Tan Lam Commune People's Committee added that a well-off family in the area came to express their intention to adopt the child. However, because the child's relatives and parents have not been identified, the Commune People's Committee is temporarily handing over the care to the Health Station.
After the prescribed time, if no relatives or biological parents come to receive the child, the Commune People's Committee will carry out birth registration and related procedures for the family that truly wishes to adopt and care for the child according to regulations.
