Accordingly, at around 10:00 p.m. on October 8, people discovered an abandoned newborn baby at the gate of Mrs. Tran Thi Tuong's house (in La Ha Dong village, Quang Van commune, Ba Don town, Quang Binh).
The baby weighed about 2.8 kg, was about 10 days old, and was in normal health. The baby was placed in a red basket, with a note attached that read: “I cannot raise the baby, so I would like to send the family that found it to raise the baby on my behalf…”
Upon receiving the news, the authorities arrived to make a record of the abandoned child. At the same time, the local government issued a notice to find the father, mother and relatives of the abandoned child.
Currently, the child is being cared for and raised by Ms. Mai Thi Hue (daughter of Ms. Tran Thi Tuong).
According to the People's Committee of Quang Van commune, if the child's father, mother, or relatives do not come to claim the child by October 15, the People's Committee of the commune will carry out birth registration procedures for the abandoned child according to the provisions of law.
