People in Hoa Binh village, Lam Son commune, Thach That district, Hanoi city were shocked to hear that a 6-year-old boy had gone missing and was found dead in a pond. The victim was identified as Nguyen H.G.B. (born in 2019), residing in Hoa Binh village, living with his father, Mr. Nguyen H.K. The baby is currently being monitored at the VNU Intervention Center in the area due to signs of illness.
At around 11am on June 16, B. suddenly left the center, heading towards the gate of Di communal house, Hoa Binh village. However, he did not return as usual. The family panicked and organized a search and quickly reported the incident to the authorities.
Immediately after receiving the report, Lam Son Commune Police coordinated with local people to organize a search but there were no results.
By the afternoon of the same day, people discovered B.'s body floating on the pond, about 700m from the center.
Talking to reporters, a leader of Lam Son Commune People's Committee confirmed the incident and said that the child had a congenital disease and did not develop mentally as normally as his peers.
"The local government came to express condolences and encourage the family on the evening of June 16. The burial ceremony for the child was held on the afternoon of June 17, informed a representative of Lam Son Commune People's Committee.
