Khanh Hoa - Sinh Ton Island infirmary is treating a fisherman from Quang Ngai who suffered acute cholecystitis while fishing in Truong Sa.

On October 14, Sinh Ton Island Infirmary (Truong Sa District) was still treating a fisherman from Quang Ngai Province with acute cholecystitis.

On the morning of October 12, while anchoring at Tien Nu Island, Mr. Nguyen Phu Quoc (born in 1980, residing in Quang Ngai province), a fisherman on fishing boat QNg 95267 TS, suffered from abdominal cramps in the lower ribs and right flank.

Mr. Nguyen Phu Quoc was examined, treated, and consulted by military doctors on Tien Nu Island with a diagnosis of acute cholecystitis. Peritoneal infiltration was monitored and he was transferred to a higher level for treatment.

The patient was received by Ship 418, Naval Region 4, brought aboard and transferred to Sinh Ton Island Infirmary for emergency treatment on the evening of October 13.

Through preliminary diagnosis of doctors on Sinh Ton island, the patient had acute cholecystitis on the 2nd day, with a small degree of left pleural effusion...

The medical team on Sinh Ton Island continues to treat with antibiotics, actively fight inflammation, use broad-spectrum antibiotics, high doses... closely monitor symptoms, promptly report any abnormalities and seek consultation when necessary.
