On September 16, Politburo Member, Secretary of the City Party Committee, Head of the Hanoi City National Assembly Delegation Tran Duc Thang and the working delegation visited Military Hospital 354 to visit and encourage the victims injured in the fire that occurred in Tay Ho ward; and shared the loss with the families of the deceased victims.

At Military Hospital 354, Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Duc Thang cordially inquired about the health situation, encouraged the injured victims and their families; hoping that the victims would feel secure in treatment and try to overcome difficulties.
Secretary of the City Party Committee Tran Duc Thang shared the great losses that families are suffering.
Mr. Tran Duc Thang said that the city will continue to care for and support victims and families to overcome this difficult time.
Sharing the losses of the victims and their families, the working delegation presented support of 70 million VND for each death and 16 million VND for each injured person being treated at the hospital. The total support cost is 382 million VND, from the budget, Hanoi City Relief Fund and Tay Ho Ward.
Representatives of families thanked city leaders, departments, branches, localities and Military Hospital 354 for their concern, sharing, encouragement, and timely support for victims and families in difficult times.
Previously, at about 2:06 am on September 16, the Command Information Center of Hanoi City Police received a report of a fire at house number 2B, alley 264/2 Thuy Khue.
At about 2:30 am, the fire was basically under control, and functional forces prevented the fire from spreading to the surrounding area. By 2:45 am, the fire was completely extinguished.
During the search, rescue, and salvage process, the Fire and Rescue Police force discovered 5 victims who had died and handed them over to the medical force.
Mr. Vu Dai Thang - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of Hanoi City People's Committee; Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khuyen - City Party Committee Member, Secretary of the Party Committee, Chairman of Tay Ho Ward People's Council; Major General Nguyen Hong Ky - Deputy Director of Hanoi City Police, along with leaders of the Ward People's Committee and Ward Police commanders, were directly present at the scene to inspect, direct firefighting, rescue, and relief work, visit families of victims and direct urgently overcome the consequences, investigate and clarify the cause of the fire.
