According to information from the Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Tri province, due to the impact of storm No. 1, starting from the morning of June 12, the province's sea area had strong winds of level 6-8, near the storm center level 9-10, gusting to level 13. Waves are 3.0-6.0m high, very rough seas.
It is forecasted that in the two days of June 12-13, Quang Tri will continue to have moderate to heavy rain, some places will have very heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms. Rainfall is generally from 80180mm, in some places over 250mm. During thunderstorms, there is a risk of tornadoes and strong gusts of wind.
The Steering Committee for Natural Disaster Prevention and Search and Rescue of Quang Tri province has issued a level 3 natural disaster risk warning for natural disaster situations caused by storms.
In particular, the impact of heavy rain caused 1,046 hectares of rice in Hai Lang and Cam Lo districts to be flooded. Some roads in low-lying areas and spillways were flooded.
Currently, Quang Tri province has 2,280 boats with 5,582 crew members. Of which, 2,227 ships with 5,244 crew members are safely anchored at Con Co port, Cua Viet port and Cua Tung port. The remaining ships have been moved to localities such as Binh Thuan and Da Nang.
