After storm No. 10, in recent days, along the coast of Nhat Le (Dong Hoi ward, Quang Tri province), garbage has thickened into layers.
According to Lao Dong Newspaper on the morning of October 2, this place is extended, mainly with bamboo rafts, tree branches, and rotten firewood. Along with that are plastic packaging, plastic bottles, and household waste from all over the water flowing in. Many workers are trying to clean up.
Mr. Tran Van Tan - a coastal service facility owner said that the garbage was so crowded that his family had been cleaning it since morning until night for 3 days without any problems. Every time they have just finished collecting, the next morning the waves will sweep them in.

The garbage collection work is being vigorously implemented by the Dong Hoi Public Service Management Board. Ms. Doan Thi Hong Phuong, Deputy Director of the Board, said that the unit has mobilized maximum human resources, mechanical means, and divided shifts to work continuously to clean up. However, the amount of garbage is too large, combined with the constant waves of new garbage, making cleaning difficult.
According to Ms. Le Thi Kien - a worker at the Nhat Le Beach Sanitation Team, every day the team collects dozens of garbage trucks, but just a few hours later, the beach is covered with new garbage. "Please clean in the morning, until the evening like never done before", she shared.

The waste situation not only pollutes the environment and loses beauty but also threatens tourism activities, which are the strengths of Dong Hoi.
In this situation, the local government called on the community, businesses, organizations and people to join hands with the authorities to clean up and return the green - clean - beautiful coast.
Currently, the collection work is still being urgently deployed, with the goal of basically clearing the entire beach in the next few days, creating conditions for visitors to feel secure returning to Nhat Le beach.
