On September 22, information from the Border Guard Command (BDBP) of Can Tho City, at 7:00 a.m. the same day, received a report from Ms. Ly Thi Huong (born in 1970, permanent residence in Cang Hamlet, Tran De Commune, Can Tho City), the owner of a vehicle with registration number ST 94989 TS that was in distress at sea. The reason is that the boat ran aground, had broken duck feet, and the boat was no longer able to move. The location of the ship in distress was about 17 nautical miles from Tran De fishing port, with 6 crew members on board, captained by Mr. Tran Van Hoi (born in 1961).
The Can Tho City Border Guard Command mobilized BP 18. 13.01 vehicles and 7 officers and soldiers of the mobile unit to the location of the damaged vehicle for rescue. At 10:00 on January 18, the BP 18.13 ship had approached the distressed ship and deployed rescue plans. At 2:40 p.m. the same day, the unit supported and successfully towed the ST 94989 TS vehicle to Tran De fishing port to ensure absolute safety for people and vehicles.
Squadron 2 of the Can Tho City Border Guard has completed the procedures to hand over the vehicle and crew members to the vehicle owner.
