Previously, at 13:20 on September 18, Song Doc Border Guard Station received a report from the public about the fishing boat CM 06484 TS, captained by Mr. Phu Ky Sung (residing in Da Bac commune, Ca Mau province) and 3 crew members, when they were on their way to shore, encountering a tornado that sank the boat about 5 nautical miles from Da Bac estuary.
Immediately after receiving the report, Song Doc Border Guard Station called on fishing vessels operating nearby to support the search and rescue of crew members in distress; at the same time, 7 officers, soldiers and people's vehicles were sent to sea to search and rescue crew members in distress.
At about 1:40 p.m., fishing boat CM 05587 TS captained by Mr. Doan Van Yen, residing in Kinh Tam hamlet, Da Bac commune, Ca Mau province, operating nearby, helped rescue 1 crew member. At around 2:00 p.m., the working group of Song Doc Border Guard Station searched and rescued the remaining 3 crew members and brought them to Da Bac Border Control Station, Song Doc Border Guard Station safely, and at the same time, the military unit provided health care for the crew members.
Currently, the crew members' health has been rescued and their psychology has been restored.

It is known that at 5:30 a.m. on September 18, in Hamlet 1, Song Doc Commune, Ca Mau Province, a thunderstorm occurred, damaging 2 houses of people. The house of Mr. Huynh Van Hao and Mr. Huynh Van Tuan was damaged by the thunderstorm, damaging the roof and the assets inside.
As soon as the people's report on the above incident was received, Song Doc Border Guard Station sent 10 officers and soldiers to divide into 2 groups, coordinate with local authorities and local people to support the 2 households to overcome the consequences and stabilize housing for the people.
