On February 7, the Tam Thang Ward Construction Investment Project Management Board is organizing the trial operation of the fountain and lighting system at the bronze Ca Ong symbol that has just been completed and installed in Thuy Van Park.
This is a key item in the Thuy Van road axis embellishment project invested with more than 1,000 billion VND. The items include squares, lakes, fountains, lighting... and a bronze Ca Ong statue over 8m high, 2cm thick and a stainless steel frame, with a total investment of more than 50 billion VND.
Previously, the statue model was created in a ratio of 1-1 for acceptance, then molded, and then taken to Ninh Binh for crafting using the traditional bronze casting method. After completion, the statue was divided into many parts and transported to Vung Tau for installation.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Kim Chi (a tourist) who is visiting commented that the Ca Ong symbol in Vung Tau is very beautiful, with the highlight being the eyes. "The lines of the statue are very vivid, especially the eyes of the statue are very lively, very soulful," Ms. Chi said.
According to the project investor, the image of Ca Ong is created in a position of strongly reaching out from the vast ocean, the body curved in rhythm with the waves, the fins spread out as if hòa vào the vast space of the ocean. The reason for choosing green, instead of keeping the bronze color, is to phù hợp with the image of whales tung mình in the open sea.

The trial operation of the symbol to check the quality and operation of the symbol project, towards organizing acceptance and handover to competent units according to regulations, to operate and serve people and tourists during Tet. After the Tam Thang tower highlight project, the bronze Ca Ong statue will create a new symbol, a new highlight for the entire Thuy Van park, more than 3km long along Bai Sau area.
