On the afternoon of July 7, the Ministry of Public Security held a press conference to announce the situation and results of work in the first 6 months of 2025.
At the press conference, the leader of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (C05, Ministry of Public Security) responded to the investigation process, verifying information spread on social networks accusing CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company of selling sick pork.
According to the leader of C05, on May 30, after receiving information on social networks about the use of sick pigs and sick chickens for sale on the market, C05 promptly directed and coordinated with the Hau Giang Provincial Police (old) and Soc Trang Provincial Police (old) to inspect.
Based on the report of Hau Giang and Soc Trang Provincial Police, up to now, there is enough basis to determine the content of the case. Based on the results of verifying and handling the criminal denunciation of Mr. Lieu Quy Ngan; based on Clause 2, Article 157 of the Criminal Procedure Code, the Investigation Agency of Soc Trang Provincial Police decided not to prosecute the case.
"C05 continues to monitor and closely coordinate with local police to clarify the purpose and purpose of spreading the image on social networks. If violations are detected, they will be strictly handled according to regulations" - said the leader of C25.
On July 2, CP Vietnam Livestock Joint Stock Company (CP Vietnam) issued a notice announcing the results of handling information about crimes of Soc Trang Provincial Police.
This company believes that recently, social networks and some media have appeared information that the enterprise violated food safety regulations when providing poor quality pork and chicken in the Soc Trang market.
In response to the confusing information, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment issued a document requesting the Ministry of Public Security to direct competent agencies to investigate and clarify.
Under the direction of the Department of Environmental Crime Prevention and Control (C05) - Ministry of Public Security, Hau Giang Provincial Police, Soc Trang Provincial Police, and representatives of the Department of Animal Husbandry and Veterinary Medicine, local departments and branches, conducted a comprehensive investigation and verification.
