In 2 days, September 13 and 14, upstream floodwaters poured in combined with high tides and heavy rain, causing many rice areas of people in Thanh Hoa and Thanh Phuoc communes to face the risk of flooding and damage.
Faced with that situation, the armed forces of Tay Ninh province were strengthened, coordinating with the government and people to urgently harvest and protect rice areas, limiting damage.
According to Mr. Le Ngoc Tuong - Vice Chairman of Thanh Phuoc Commune People's Committee, the on-site force and 200 soldiers and police officers supported people to harvest rice to respond to the flooding situation in the area on September 14.
