Voters in Quang Tri expressed that in Trung Son commune, Gio Linh district, Quang Tri province, there are currently 3 routes including: the bypass route, the new National Highway 76 route, and the inter-commune route intersecting with the railway.
At the intersection, the narrow road surface is now degraded, bumpy, and concave, posing a great potential risk to traffic safety.
Voters requested that the Vietnam Railway Corporation be directed to have a plan to inspect and survey to upgrade, repair and expand the road surface at the above intersection to ensure the safety of people's travel.
Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Transport responded as follows:

The level crossing at Km599+700, currently a guarded level crossing, intersecting the railway and provincial road 76, has a relatively high traffic density, and is a bottleneck at the level crossing. The cement concrete road surface is 6m wide.
The level crossing at Km601+225 is currently an automatic warning level crossing, requiring automatic barriers, intersecting the railway and the bypass (Trung Son Commune People's Committee), with normal traffic density. The cement concrete road surface is 6m wide.
The level crossing at Km602+330 is currently an automatic warning level crossing, requiring automatic barriers, intersecting the railway and the inter-commune road, with normal traffic density. The cement concrete road surface is 6m wide.
Based on voters' feedback, the Ministry of Transport has directed the Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation to inspect and review the current status of level crossings to repair and maintain damaged level crossings in the maintenance of national railway infrastructure to ensure smooth traffic for traffic participants.
In case it is necessary to invest in upgrading and expanding level crossings to meet the needs of local socio-economic development and ensure road and railway traffic safety, the National Assembly Delegation of Quang Tri province is requested to consult with the People's Committee of Quang Tri province to use local funding sources to implement according to the provisions of Article 37 of Circular No. 29/TT-BGTVT of the Minister of Transport regulating level crossings and granting construction permits for essential works within the land area reserved for railways.
The Ministry of Transport will direct the Vietnam Railway Authority and Vietnam Railway Corporation to coordinate with local authorities throughout the implementation process.
