Deputy Minister of Transport Le Anh Tuan signed and issued Decision No. 1646/QD-BGTVT dated December 26, 2024 approving local adjustments to the Long Thanh International Airport Planning.
Accordingly, approve local adjustments to Long Thanh airport with the following content:
Rearrange the area of 12 aircraft repair and maintenance projects in the Northeast area of the Port; each project has an area of about 3.8 ha to 4.5 ha.
Arrange parallel taxiways and synchronous technical infrastructure works to ensure connection and exploitation with the area of aircraft repair and maintenance works in the Northeast of the Port.
Other contents remain the same as Decision No. 909/QD-TTg dated June 14, 2011 of the Prime Minister; Decisions No. 1652/QD-BGTVT dated August 20, 2020, No. 270/QD-BGTVT dated March 4, 2022, and No. 178/QD-BGTVT dated March 6, 2023 of the Minister of Transport.
The Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam is responsible for: Presiding over and coordinating with relevant agencies to manage and implement planning in accordance with current regulations.
Review and complete planning documents and drawings to ensure compliance with approved planning content.
Continue to review the planning of works to propose adjustments and supplements to suit the needs of exploitation and development investment; update the adjusted content according to the direction in Official Dispatches No. 10900/BGTVT-KHDT dated October 9, 2024 and No. 12590/BGTVT-KHDT dated November 19, 2024 of the Ministry of Transport.
In the next implementation steps, the Civil Aviation Authority of Vietnam and relevant units will continue to calculate and determine technical factors to ensure reasonableness, make adjustments and handle contents within their authority, and report to the Ministry of Transport for consideration of contents beyond their authority.
