On June 27, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province announced that it had approved the addition of an inter-provincial bus route, connecting from the center of Vung Tau city to Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC).
The starting point of the route is from Vung Tau Passenger Port (120 Ha Long, Vung Tau City) and the end point is at Tan Son Nhat Airport (HCMC). The entire route is about 110km long, travel time is about 240 minutes (4 hours).
The opening time of the wharf at the beginning of Vung Tau starts at 2:30 am every day and closes at 9:30 pm. The opening time of the wharf in Ho Chi Minh City starts at 5:30 am every day and closes at 24 am. On average, there will be 1 bus trip in about 10 minutes, picking up and dropping off passengers by car with 10-16 seats.
The Department of Construction of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province said that this is not a new route, because previously, Hai Van International Transport Joint Venture Company in Ba Ria - Vung Tau (Hai Van company) had been operating a pilot route to pick up and drop off passengers since 2019; now it is being transferred according to the provisions of Clause 8, Article 76 of Decree 158/2024/ND-CP.
The route from Vung Tau to Ho Chi Minh City will depart from Vung Tau Passenger Port (according to 1 of the 3 routes) - National Highway 51 - Long Thanh Dau Day Expressway - Mai Chi Tho Street (and along 1 of the 3 routes) - Phan Dinh Giot Street (3 routes) - Truong Son Street - Tan Son Nhat International Airport
From Ho Chi Minh City to Vung Tau, departures will be from Tan Son Nhat International Airport - Truong Son Street - Tran Quoc Hoan Street - Hoang Van Thu Street (then follow 1 of 3 routes) - Mai Chi Tho Street - Long Thanh Dau Giay Expressway - National Highway 51 ( follow 1 of 3 routes) - Vung Tau Passenger Port.
In Vung Tau City, there will be 26 stops to pick up and drop off passengers on the routes; and in Ho Chi Minh City, there will be about 28 stops to pick up and drop off passengers.
