The Ministry of Construction responds to the median strip on National Highway 3 in Cao Bang

Xuyên Đông |

The Ministry of Construction has just responded to Cao Bang voters about the median strip on National Highway 3.

Cao Bang voters proposed that the Ministry of Construction soon issue a policy to direct Quang Hoa district of Cao Bang province to have a basis to completely resolve voters' petition: reflect on the organization of traffic at the intersection at the end of the central road of Ta Lung town intersecting with the one-way road on National Highway 3.

Voters recommended that the National Highway 3 road management agency allow the removal of the median strip of the road about 100m long to ensure convenient traffic operations.

Regarding this issue, the Ministry of Construction responded as follows:

Currently, National Highway 3 through Cao Bang province has been transferred by the Ministry of Finance to the People's Committee of Cao Bang province for management in Decision No. 1371/QD-BTC dated April 16, 2025.

The Ministry of Construction issued Document No. 2519/BXD-KHTC dated April 23, 2025 to the People's Committee of Cao Bang province regarding the notification of the Decision to transfer assets from the Ministry of Construction to the People's Committee of Cao Bang province for management.

Thus, the adjustment of traffic organization at the above location is under the decision-making authority of the locality.

As soon as voters' opinions were received, the Ministry of Construction issued Document No. 4563/BXDVT&ATGT dated June 5, 2025, requesting the Cao Bang Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the Vietnam Road Administration and relevant agencies to inspect the scene and have solutions to handle voters' petitions.

In Document No. 1855/SXD-KCHTGT dated June 13, 2025, the Cao Bang Department of Construction reported that the reorganization of traffic at this intersection area is necessary and the Department will organize implementation, expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025.
