Training and propaganda right at the grassroots level
Buon Don commune currently has 8 villages and hamlets with many areas with a large number of ethnic minorities living, facing difficulties and needing support.
Every year, the Commune Health Station coordinates with village heads, hamlets and mass organizations to organize training sessions and promote health care right at the grassroots level, making it easier for people to access.

During these sessions, health workers also integrated information about the Party's guidelines and policies and the State's laws and policies. The content is constructed concisely, easily understood, illustrated with images and real-life situations.
In particular, health workers use familiar languages, sometimes incorporating ethnic minority languages, to help women in the village easily absorb them.
The sessions focused on important topics such as periodic pregnancy check-ups, nutrition for pregnant mothers, preventing obstetric complications and caring for mothers after giving birth.

Ms. H' Be Knul (residing in Buon Don commune), who just gave birth, shared that during pregnancy and after giving birth, I was instructed on maternity care and improved nutrition.
"All questions were answered promptly by health workers. Organizing communication right at the village helps us save time because we don't have to go far" - Ms. H' Be Knul shared more.
According to the Buon Don Commune Health Station, the rate of women having a trientalental examination during pregnancy was previously very low, many people only had their first examination on June and Saturday. Since the media layers have been maintained regularly, this rate has increased significantly.

Going to the house to take care of people's health
In addition to focused propaganda classes, health workers in Buon Don commune also implemented a home reproductive health consultation model for women in remote areas and families in difficult circumstances.
Medical staff come to the house, check the pregnancy certificate, provide instructions on nutrition regimens, personal hygiene during pregnancy and how to care for children suitable for the living conditions of each household.
For the model to be effective, there needs to be the coordination of prestigious people in the community, village heads, and especially the self-awareness of the people.

Mr. Y Nham Nie - Head of Buon Don Commune Health Station - said that in the coming time, thanks to capital from the National Target Program, the station will synchronously deploy health care and nutrition solutions for people, especially women and children.
At the same time, continue to expand communication layers, flexibly combining in-person and at-home consultation. The goal is to cover 100% of pregnant women, women of reproductive age and mothers raising young children.
Mr. Y Nham emphasized: "With the efforts of the medical team, the coordination of the government and the response of the people, the villages in Buon Don are gradually building a healthy and safe living environment for women and children".
