In recent times, Buon Don commune (Dak Lak province) has focused on promoting vocational training for rural workers, especially for ethnic minorities.
In many ethnic minority villages and hamlets, people do not have stable jobs. Their biggest dream is to have proper vocational training, have skills to orient jobs, increase income and stabilize their lives.

Ms. H Vy Kdoh (residing in Buon Don commune, Dak Lak province) shared: My family is in a very difficult situation, our income is unstable, and we have empty meals and provisions. My biggest wish is to have a stable job to improve my life. The profession I want to learn is animal husbandry because this is a sustainable livelihood, giving me the time to take the initiative and the conditions to take care of my family".
To realize the people's dreams, the People's Committee of Buon Don commune has coordinated with the Buon Don Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center to develop vocational training programs for priority people.

Accordingly, from September to November 2025, the units have opened 2 classes to teach buffalo and cow raising with a total of 35 students, most of whom are ethnic minorities. In particular, there are many cases belonging to poor and near-poor households.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thanh Thuy - a livestock teacher in Buon Don commune - said: "Ccles are opened right in the locality, convenient for people to participate in learning. I am very happy to receive enthusiastic responses from the people. All students participate fully and pay attention to the practice sessions. This is the basis for them to master animal husbandry skills and apply them in practice after graduation.

Contributing to socio-economic development
Buon Don commune currently has a high rate of poor households and a large number of ethnic minorities (accounting for 77.18%).
Vocational training for rural workers in the locality has created opportunities for career conversion, increased income and improved the lives of ethnic minorities. Thereby, contributing to the realization of the socio-economic development goals of ethnic minority and mountainous areas in the period of 2025 - 2030.

Mr. Le Thanh Son - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Buon Don commune - shared: "Thanks to resources from the National Target Program, people in difficult circumstances in the commune have been supported with vocational training and proper job counseling.
In the coming time, the commune will continue to strengthen vocational training, focusing on retraining and regular training for young workers. Thereby, to create a strong change in the scale, quality and efficiency of vocational education".
Mr. Son emphasized: "The locality will exploit human potential, shift the labor structure and increase income for people. This activity not only helps stabilize life but also creates momentum for socio-economic development in rural areas".
