Career guidance for people working abroad
Thanks to funding from the National Target Program, the authorities of Buon Ma Thuot City have effectively implemented vocational training and sustainable poverty reduction for the people.
At the same time, the city government promotes labor export activities, helping to improve household economies.
Mr. Pham Xuan Trung, Head of the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province shared: “Sending workers to work abroad is a breakthrough solution in poverty reduction, especially for ethnic minority areas in the city.
Thanks to the resources of the National Target Program, the city has effectively integrated and implemented labor export consultation and introduction.
According to Mr. Trung, labor export not only brings stable income, helping people escape poverty quickly, but also equips them with skills and knowledge to start a business when returning home.
Realizing that significance, the City People's Committee has implemented many support policies such as vocational training, foreign language teaching and preferential loans from the Social Policy Bank.
On January 5, 2022, Buon Ma Thuot City Party Committee issued Resolution 08-NQ/TU on sustainable poverty reduction, associated with vocational training and job creation for the 2022-2025 period.
After 3 years of implementation, the city has achieved the set targets, especially in the field of labor export.
In 2024, the city will create jobs for 6,750 people, of which 113 will be exported to countries such as South Korea, Taiwan (China), Malaysia and Japan.
Workers expressed satisfaction with the policies at foreign enterprises and sent money home to support their families regularly every month.
Local authorities also closely monitor the situation of Vietnamese workers abroad, ensuring timely support when needed, helping them feel secure in their work and actively contribute to the economic development of their families and society.
Synchronous implementation of policies
Despite many achievements, the work of consulting and supporting labor export in Buon Ma Thuot City is still limited. Some localities have not focused on propagating the Party and State's policies on vocational training and job creation. Activities to promote labor export in organizations and unions are also not extensive and synchronous.
Mr. Pham Tien Hung, Permanent Vice Chairman of Buon Ma Thuot City People's Committee, said: "In the coming time, the locality will focus on training and developing specialized and modern human resources to meet the requirements of the labor market, in line with the economic development orientation of the province."
According to Mr. Hung, relevant units need to combine vocational training with promoting labor export consulting for people. At the same time, coordinate with businesses inside and outside the province, as well as labor export recruitment units, organize mobile job promotion and introduction sessions in communes and wards to connect jobs more effectively.
In addition, the locality will regularly update and publicize labor recruitment needs, creating conditions for people to access information and register to participate.
