According to information from the Fire Prevention, Fire Fighting and Rescue Police Department of Ha Tinh Province Police, at around 11:20 a.m. on August 18, the unit received a report about a drowning incident in the Cau Dong River.
Immediately afterwards, the Fire Prevention and Rescue Police Team dispatched a rescue vehicle and 8 officers and soldiers to the scene to organize the search.
About 15 minutes later, the rescue team found the body of the victim who had sunk in the river.
The victim's identity was clarified as Nguyen Huu T (born in 1983, residing in Dong Kinh commune, Ha Tinh province).
Through initial verification, the victim was caught by a fish dragging a fishing rod far away while fishing, so he swam into the river to get the fishing rod and unfortunately drowned.
After bringing the victim to shore, the authorities handed over the body to the family for burial.
