On August 10, Lao Bao International Border Guard Station (Quang Tri Border Guard) said that the unit is coordinating with functional forces to urgently search for a young man who drowned on the Se Pon River.
Previously, at around 3:40 p.m. on August 9, the unit received a report that Mr. V.T.K (born in 2004, residing in village 2, lia commune, Quang Tri province) had drowned in the Se Pon river area through Duy Tan hamlet (Lao Bao commune, Quang Tri province). Immediately after receiving the information, the Border Guard Station mobilized 15 officers, soldiers and 2 canoes to coordinate with local authorities and the Provincial Fire Prevention and Rescue Police force to organize the search.
As of 10:00 a.m. this morning, August 10, the victim had not yet been found.
The search is being expanded, more forces are being mobilized, people's boats are being used and measures are being applied to search nets and pull zinc and barbed wire under the river to increase access to the victim's location.
