Ca Mau to build a 2,000 billion VND shipbuilding complex, creating 1,000 jobs

Ca Mau - That is the Nam Phat Shipbuilding, Mechanical and Logistics Industrial Complex Project in Nam Can Economic Zone, belonging to Nam Can and Dat Moi communes.

On the afternoon of December 30, Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai had a working session with Nam Phat Shipbuilding and Marine Transport Joint Stock Company on the investment proposal.

According to the proposal of Nam Phat Shipbuilding and Marine Transport Joint Stock Company, the unit will build a modern marine industrial complex, with a scale of about 50 hectares, with a total estimated investment of 2,000 billion VND.

The project focuses on 3 main areas: New construction and repair of high-tech ships; Developing logistics and port logistics services; Mechanical processing to serve key projects of the province.

It is expected that the project will create jobs for about 1,000 workers. At the same time, it will promote the supply chain and apply 4.0 technology to production.

Mr. Lam Van Bi - Standing Vice Chairman of Ca Mau Provincial People's Committee - assigned the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board to be the focal point, coordinating with departments and branches to support businesses in carrying out procedures related to planning, land and legal affairs according to regulations.

Secretary of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Ho Hai affirmed that Ca Mau province is always ready to welcome, accompany and create favorable conditions for businesses with real capacity to come to learn and implement projects in the area.

The Secretary of the Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee said that in the context of the province's transport infrastructure being invested synchronously, especially regional highways, Ca Mau has many advantages to develop large-scale industrial projects, especially in the fields of marine economy and logistics. However, the project implementation process must strictly comply with the provisions of law, ensuring requirements for national defense, security and planning.
