On December 25, Vietnam Air Traffic Management Corporation coordinated with the People's Committee of Ca Mau province to organize a groundbreaking ceremony for flight management works at Ca Mau Airport.
The two main packages include: Package 05 - Construction and installation of equipment for the Air Traffic Control Station and auxiliary items; Package No. 22 - Construction of the DVOR/DME Ca Mau Station project.
The total investment is 258 billion VND, of which the Air Traffic Control Station and auxiliary items are invested in the construction of items, including: Air Traffic Control Station, operator and auxiliary items, specialized equipment systems for flight management; along with technical infrastructure such as electricity, information - signals, internal traffic and related items, with a cost of 181 billion VND.
The DVOR/DME Ca Mau station project includes the following items: DVOR/DME equipment system, technical surveillance camera system, security and technical infrastructure (rifness station, duty house, access road and auxiliary equipment system), with a cost of 77 billion VND.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, contractors pledged to focus on human resources, machinery and immediately deploy construction items, ensuring progress and quality of the project to put Ca Mau Airport into operation as planned.
Speaking at the groundbreaking ceremony, Mr. Huynh Chi Nguyen - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Ca Mau province - said that this is a project of great significance, playing a key role in the system to ensure smooth flight safety and is the central technical infrastructure of the entire large-scale project, upgrading Ca Mau Airport.
The groundbreaking of the two packages this time is not only meaningful in terms of technical expertise in the aviation industry, but also demonstrates the strategic vision and high determination of all levels and sectors in bringing Ca Mau Airport to new heights.
