After more than 3 months of launching, on the afternoon of July 24, Steering Committee 35 of Ca Mau province summarized and awarded prizes. The fifth political commentary contest on protecting the ideological foundation of the Party, 2026 in Ca Mau received 2,496 works in 3 categories including magazines, newspapers and radio - television - video clips.
According to the Organizing Committee, the works were received, appraised, scanned for duplication and judged according to regulations. Through the preliminary round, 487 works were selected for the final round, accounting for about 19.5% of the total number of entries.
In the final round, the Organizing Committee selected 48 works by 39 authors and 9 groups of authors to award prizes, including 3 A prizes, 6 B prizes, 12 C prizes and 27 consolation prizes. At the same time, it was proposed that the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee award certificates of merit to 4 collectives and 3 authors and groups of authors with outstanding achievements.

The four collectives proposed for commendation include the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Committee of Ca Mau Provincial Party Committee, the Party Committee of Party Agencies of Ca Mau Province, the Border Guard Command of Ca Mau Province and Ca Mau Newspaper and Radio, Television.
From the judging results, the Organizing Committee selected 50 quality works, including 15 works in the magazine category, 20 works in the newspaper category and 15 radio, television, and video clip works to participate in the political commentary contest on protecting the ideological foundation of the Party at the Central level.
According to the assessment of the Organizing Committee, the contest continues to attract a large number of officials, party members, armed forces, teachers, students, reporters and people to participate. Many works closely follow the major resolutions and guidelines of the Party, reflect the socio-economic development reality of the locality, contributing to spreading Resolution No. 35-NQ/TW and raising awareness and responsibility in protecting the ideological foundation of the Party.
Besides the achieved results, the Organizing Committee also pointed out some limitations such as the quality of works between localities and units is not uniform; some places still focus on quantity over quality. Many works are still heavily theoretical, lack practical evidence, have high duplication rates or do not meet the requirements for genre and form.
To improve the quality of the contest in the coming time, the Organizing Committee recommends that localities and units strengthen appraisal and screening of works before submitting them to the contest; and at the same time promote the role of reporters, political theory lecturers, propaganda - mass mobilization officials and press agencies in guiding and supporting authors to build in-depth works, associated with local practice.
