On May 1, according to information from the People's Committee of Tieu Can commune, at about 6 pm, people discovered a crocodile floating in the Tieu Can river area, near the D6 road bridge (construction preparation area).
Immediately after receiving the information, the Commune People's Committee directed the Commune Police to report to functional agencies to coordinate inspection, verification and take appropriate handling measures to ensure safety for people.
Local authorities recommend that people not approach the embankment area, do not go down to the river to swim, fish or gather curiously, and pay special attention to ensuring safety for children.
When detecting more signs of crocodile appearance, people need to quickly inform the local authorities or the Commune Police for timely handling.
