Ben Tre - A crocodile appeared in the Tu Chay Canal and Cay Da Irrigation Area, about 2m long, weighing about 150kg. Local authorities warn people.

On the evening of June 5, speaking with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper over the phone, Mr. Vo Duy Nhan - Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Tan Thanh Commune (Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province) said that recently, people on boats and ships discovered crocodiles floating on the water in Tan Phuoc Hamlet.

Previously, people in the Tu Chay Canal and Cay Da Islet areas in Tan Phuoc Hamlet (Tan Thanh Commune) discovered a crocodile floating on the water, weighing about 150kg and about 2m long.

According to Mr. Nhan, the authorities have not yet caught the crocodile. To ensure safety, the People's Committee of Tan Thanh commune warned people in the area, especially not to let children swim in the canal. In addition, if people discover crocodiles, they should immediately report them to the local authorities or the commune police for handling.
